Gone Camping

“There are many places I’d like to see, from the comfort and safety of a protective bubble. Maybe that’s my idea of an Afterlife. To be a Time Traveller, floating through past, or even future millennia.”
(Golden Ticket, Mendeleev’s Closet Gallery)
But now we have “Boo” our Boondock trailer, and I’d rather be camping. I don’t like crowds or airports or being too far from my comfort zone.
I am more of a zoom in and focus person,….other than my thoughts which are eclectic and travel at the speed of light.
Mark and I bought Boo in 2022. A BaseCamp for the activities we both enjoy, with the improved amenities we now prefer. We’ve been for many adventures since then, rarely leaving Vancouver Island.
It has been nostalgic, hiking familiar trails or paddling favourite waterways. Collecting lots of rocks. Identifying and refreshing my memory of native plants and animals and seashore ecology. Expanding the annual bird list.
Boo is a restful, therapeutic Zen Pod combining patience with strategic choreography. I’ve been keeping Boo Travel journals and the more I write, the more I enjoy writing.

Lovely, finding your own space to refresh & contemplate!
I love this.
The quiet once the campfires get low, the wind rocking the tall firs to sleep… end of a perfect day!
I also stay close to home yet travel afar. No Boo for me but if I sit and wait all which I need arrives in due time. The power of a pause or two offers more with less. ❤️
